Data can be entered or edited in StepMaster in a variety of units. Units are selected from Options | Units. Time and drawdown data can be entered from the keyboard or from an ASCII text file created by a digital data logger.
Entering Data from the Keyboard
Data entry from the keyboard is performed from the Edit menu. The following edit menu selections allow for data entry. Units for data entry are selected from
Site Information -- This includes information such as Titles, Locations, Client, and Well Labels.
Aquifer Parameters -- This includes such information as aquifer thickness, distance to observation wells, pumping rates, and time duration of each step.
Time and Drawdown -- This is the time and drawdown measurement for the test.
Adjust Data -- This allows the user to multiple time and drawdown data by a constant, or add a constant to time and drawdown data.
Entering Time and Drawdown Values from a Data Logger File
Time and drawdown data can be entered from a text file created by a digital data logger. In most cases, the file does not need to be edited before loading. Headers do not need to be removed. Select File | Import to load data logger files.
Importing AQTESOLV Files
StepMaster can also read Geraghty & Miller's AQTESOLV for DOS files. Select File | Import and select AQTESOLV for DOS from the Data Logger Format box.
