The Compliance Taafi Database contains the following data objects.

Model Requirements -- This is the tree hierarchy of task requirements that must be performed to achieve compliance. Use the Model Builder to create requirements models.

Tasks -- These are tasks that must be performed to achieve compliance. Each task is associated with a model requirement.

Issues and Actions -- Issues are problems that must be addressed to achieve compliance. Each issue has actions that must be performed to address the issue.

Audits and Findings -- Audits are a systematic assessment of the compliance status of an operations. Each audit produces findings that must be addressed to achieve compliance. Findings differ from Issues in several important ways:

  • Audits and findings are typically produced by auditors. Issues are typically produced by managers.
  • A finding may result in none, one, or many issues that must be addressed to achieve compliance.
  • Issues may be generated without an audit. Findings must always be associated with an audit.

Documents -- Documents are files (not necessarily MS Word documents) that are associated or embedded in the Compliance Taafi database. Documents can be in the database independent of any other objects, or they can be linked to the other data objects. A single document can be associated with any number of other data objects.

Users -- Users are the individuals that log into the Compliance Taafi database.

Roles -- Roles correspond to individuals, job titles, or work groups that will be associated with the other data objects. Users are assigned to roles.
