ChemStat provides tests to detect outliers. Once outliers have been detected, you can manually remove the samples from any future statistical analyses using the Add/Remove Samples menu command.

You can also have ChemStat automatically remove outlier values.

  1. Run an appropriate outlier test.
  2. From the right-click menu accessible over the report, select Remove Outliers. ChemStat will remove the outliers flagged in the report from the database, and add them to the list of rejected samples. You can then add them back to the database from Options | Add/Remove Samples.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for other parameters as desired.

You can use the Outlier List report to show all outliers (and other rejected samples) in the current database.
