Working in Milliequivalents per Liter

Valence and atomic weight are required to convert concentration measurements to units of milliequivalents per liter for graphs.

You can specify ionic valence and atomic weight values for parameters. Switch to the Facility Parameters View and double click on a parameter to set valence and atomic weight.

ChemPoint will automatically determine valence and atomic weight for the following parameters:

Anions

  • Chloride
  • Sulfate (SO4)
  • Carbonate (CO3)
  • HCO3

Cations

  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Sodium
  • Postassium
